Syndicating your article is definitely a topic that is up for discussion. It is one of those topics that has people who sit on both sides of the fence and a handful who are right in the middle.
Here we will discuss both pros and cons of syndicating your article. After learning about both sides of the issue you will be able to decide which side of the fence you would like to sit on when it comes to syndicating your article.
We shall start with the pros of syndicating your article. One is that there is a brand-name awareness that occurs. Your company’s name becomes well known when your company’s name is published on many web sites and newsletters all over the web. A second pro is that visitors are attracted to your site. People read your articles on other web sites and then go to your site in hopes that they will find articles that are similar. The third pro to syndicating your article is that your Page Rank is increased on Google. The more sites your article is syndicated on the higher your Page Rank will be.
Now that we have looked into the positive aspects of syndicating articles let us look at the cons or the problems that can occur. One problem is that your article can easily become obsolete. Few articles are written on topics that never change. When you syndicate your article to various sites the control is easily lost. Your article could easily be on hundreds of different sites and it would be virtually impossible to know exactly which sites it is on. It is not so easy to just go in and update your article. Your reputation can then be damaged because you do not have up-to-date information out there. Another problem with syndication your article is that the webmasters who have your article on their site sometimes think that it is okay to edit your article in any way that they see fit. Yet another problem that frequently occurs is mirror pages. Google does not like mirror pages and gives mirror pages a Page Rank of zero. Therefore if your articles are all syndicated then your web page would be considered a mirror and would receive a Page Rank of zero.

This article will explain what keyword density is and why it is important. Key word density is the number of times your key word appears on a page. This is important to search engines because the search engines use this to help determine your placement. However, you do not want to over use a keyword in hopes of getting a higher ranking. Currently there is no strict rule or percentage to determine how many times to use a certain key word, but a good trick is to copy what your competitors are doing. You can see how many times they use a certain key word in the title tag, alt tags and body and do the same thing. You want to make sure the site ranks high before trying to copy what they are doing.
